There are twelve of you, or twenty, or more. One uncle only eats Moroccan, a niece will hear nothing but pizza, two colleagues are in a hurry and somebody is going to turn up late. Finding a restaurant for groups in Agadir that can absorb all of that without turning the meal into an ordeal is harder than it sounds. Plenty of places serve a table of four beautifully; far fewer are genuinely set up for twenty.
At Madina, in Haut Founty, we host groups all year round: extended families, company teams, travellers passing through, big tables of friends on a Friday lunchtime. This page gathers what an organiser actually needs to know before booking: the spaces, the menu, the opening hours, and the simplest way to sort it all out with us.
What a restaurant for groups in Agadir really has to get right
A meal with a lot of people rarely comes down to the decor. It comes down to a handful of practical details, the ones you only think to check once everyone is seated, which is to say too late.
- A space of your own: one reserved corner rather than four tables scattered across the room.
- A broad menu: so nobody feels obliged to order "the same as everyone else".
- Service that keeps up: twenty different orders landing at once takes preparation.
- Flexible hours: eating early or very late, depending on the day's programme.
- An easy address: one that everybody finds first time, even without knowing the city.
The rest, the welcome and the warmth around the table, takes care of itself.
Two spaces, depending on the size of your group
We have a private mezzanine that seats up to 20 people. It is a separate level, away from the movement of the main room: you can hear each other, you can get up and greet everyone, and the group stays one group instead of splitting into two camps. It is the ideal format for a team lunch, a birthday or a close family meal.
Downstairs, the main dining room is larger and takes bigger groups. Depending on your numbers and the time of day, we will point you towards whichever space works best. Our page on the private room covers both setups in detail.
A television, yes; a projector, no
Let us be straight, because it comes up often: we have a television, handy for putting up a few visuals or a short presentation during the meal. We do not have a video projector. If your gathering depends entirely on a large-format projection, tell us beforehand — much better to know in advance than to discover it on the day. The free Wi-Fi, meanwhile, covers the whole restaurant.
More than 130 dishes, all halal: the real comfort for a group
This is where everything gets easier. Our menu runs to more than 130 Moroccan and Italian dishes, and everything is halal, without exception. In practice, a mixed group makes no compromises at all: tajine, couscous, pastilla and rfissa sit alongside wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, risotto, grills and burgers. Everyone orders what they actually want, and nobody eats out of politeness.
For visitors discovering Moroccan cooking, it is a gentle way in as well: the more hesitant members of the party can always find something familiar next to it. And on Fridays, couscous is on, which tends to be the perfect excuse to get everybody around one table.
A group menu agreed in advance
For a big table, the most efficient approach is to settle the menu before you arrive: two or three choices per course, agreed together beforehand. Service becomes noticeably quicker, the kitchen can plan ahead, and you avoid twenty people reading the menu at once while a waiter stands by. We go through how that works on our page about the group menu.
Open every day from 8:00 to midnight
Our long opening hours solve a surprising number of scheduling problems. A group heading out on an excursion can eat lunch early; a group coming back from a day on the coast can have dinner late without rushing. In between, there is room for a Moroccan breakfast or a late-afternoon coffee, and the terrace when the weather plays along.
That flexibility matters especially to tour groups, whose itineraries rarely bend around restaurant hours. It matters to families too: our family restaurant page explains how we set up long tables with children. And if your guests do not know the neighbourhood yet, our guide to where to eat in Haut Founty will help them get their bearings before they arrive.
Booking your group table at Madina
The process is simple. Message us on WhatsApp at +212 5283-81269 or go through our groups and events page: tell us how many people, the date, roughly what time and anything we should account for, and we will come back with a clear proposal built around your case. You are also welcome to browse our menu beforehand, or book a smaller table through the reservation form.
One last thought: tell us what you have in mind even if it is still vague. A family birthday, a team lunch, a group of travellers stopping between two legs of a trip — we would far rather talk it through in advance than improvise on the day. A WhatsApp message or an email to contact@madinaagadir.com is all it takes.
